If you have NAVSHIPS 91398, what is the radio set supplied with OA-42A/MRC-8?

That is a CJ-V35/U.

I would like a copy of that manual also... so, where did you find it so we may track down the owner of the photo?

The photos belong to eBay user ID 39redfern. If he/she is actually in NY and didn't photograph the three pages and then sell the NAVSHIPS, we now know that there are two in existance.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but the original poster wanted to know what the radio set was for OA-42A/MRC-8B, i have a copy of the Navships 91398 and the correct radio would be the SCR-528 for the AN/MRC-8B(OA-42A). AN/MRC6B would be a TCS radio set. TCS-13 most likely but could have been any TCS SET. I am using the AN/MRC-6B in my current V-35 restoration. The AN/MRC-8B would be very cool as well. The real issue for me is finding the waterproof radio box.

Good opportunity to announce that the military vehicle showcase for the April 2019 Camp Delta at Tower Park Resort in California (yes - just announced we are going back there)will be JEEPS including M151 variants. We are looking for coordinators to help round up participants and we would like to see a lot of original radio jeeps, with sets installed or not. All jeeps qualify in any condition. No registration fee, no day-user visitor fee (so far), no reservations can be made until at least June 1. Details will be in the Events forum and on www.MVCCNews.net. More about this event will be announced at the Camp Petaluma swap meet next week - April 17-22, 2018 - especially at the meeting at 1000 on Saturday.

Oh... and a Burma jeep gathering is already being talked about too.

Good to set these plans early so those who need to buy parts to get ready for the display have a couple swap meets to do that.

I'll have to bring my MZ-2. It hasn't been out of the garage since the 2013 convention.

I would love to be there! It looks like we're moving again. MZ-1 was stored a couple of weeks ago.

No events for me this year... I hope to be back on track with shows and meets next year.
