Any difference in G506 and CCKW rear bumperettes?

Post by signsup » Sat Apr 14, 2018 5:21 pm

In the bed of the G506 I got were two extra rear bumperetes. The ones on the truck seem fine, so they are extras. Before I clean them up and offer them for sale or trade, I'd like to know exactly what they are.

Were the bumperettes the same for both the G506 and the CCKW? Any other vehicles use the same part?

Thanks in advance.

When I laid my hands on them today, both the mounted origianls and the spare set, they appear to be identical. The 506 bumperettes wrap around the side of the frame and connect with four bolts and also connect to the rear of the crossmember with two bolts, the lower being the safety chain eye bolt.
The spare set I have appear to be identical to that configuration. Here are two images of the spare set.

The PM's have already started arriving. I have no idea what these are worth, but I'm more interested in paying them forward than financing my projects. Shipping will be a consideration. But I will be attending the conventin in KY in June if that helps.

Robert, they are definitely for the Chevy. CCKW Bumperettes have a blade that extends down several inches on the face of it. I sent you a P.M. regarding the ones you have. :)
