Re: Hummer H1 to Pseudo M998 Wagon top
Almost finished the roof insulation, just waiting on the driver side rear roof insulation. Only needed about 20 square feet of dynamat to finish the roof. It's very helpful to have a roller to flatten the dynamat, it's helps to promote adhesion to the roof and flatten out dynamat.
The roof insulation was realitivly easy to install just be careful removing the wax paint. The adhesive tends to come off the insulation when you remove the wax paper. Here are a few more pics

Had Steve Kavanaugh at retired war horses install the passenger front cowling. He did an awesome job, now my heater blows like it it should and makes my civi hummer look like a humvee
Ill post some pics shortly, thanks Steve

Yes, it's a PITA!
Steve from what I understand didn't have that hard of a time removing it from my hummer. Probably due to the fact my hummer had an engine fire.

Lots and lots of heat. was a PITA, but was able to remove the glue with a heat gun from harbor freight set on high, force using pry bars and a tractor to help lift the weight of the roof. It was done quick and dirty. but got the job done. The old roof was damaged in the process due to not having the time to do the job cleanly.libbster29 wrote:Have you ever tryed to remove the factory glue that amg smears all over them

AMG used to use Sikaflex as the body panel adhesive:

Looks like the new wonder tool would be one of those vibratory cutters...
