WWII 2 door staff cars?

Post by TNYankee » Fri Jan 20, 2017 8:32 pm

I'm sure this has been answered but I could not locate it with a search. There is a local car junk yard up the street from my house which I drive by all the time. There is a 1940's 2 door Ford parked in there that I never payed much attention to until the other day when they had moved it and I noticed a star painted on the driver's door. The whole car is painted OD. I've been meaning to stop in and check it out but I always thought that only 4 door cars were used. How common were 2 doors? I'm going to stop in sometime next week hopefully and check it out.

Hi
Only 4 doors were factory ordered staff cars
The government did procure cars from dealer stock that was frozen in Jan 1942.
They could be 2 doors, 4 doors and wagons
