Does anyone know if the services used a 39 Pontiac as a staff car at anytime?

There is one for sale here at a decent price and I was curious,

I've seen Chevrolet, Plymouth, Cadillac, and Packards most in the 42 year range used but am curious in the Pontiac would pass the five foot rule...

Hi
the only contract ordered cars for WWII were the Ford, chevy, Plymouth, dodge and Packard.
That being said, the military used many types of cars as staff or base cars and continue to do so.
Your car would not have come from the factory as a staff car, but there is no reason to believe that that make and model were never used on a base for official use.

Thanks Ernie!

Kind of what I was thinking - might pass along to other interested parties. I cannot afford another project at present.

The guy wants 1750 for it. Runs, drives and stops but needs complete interior and exterior cosmetic work.

All stock as best as I can tell but I'm no antique car expert by any means,
