Quick easy question for you Dodge sedan guys ...
Did Dodge use the same body and fender stamping dies for the '46 four-door sedan as they did on the '42?
In other words, what, if any complications would there be to making a '46 look like a '42?
Thanks in advance.

I think the shell is the same, but the front end is different.

Thanks Ernie! I suspected but didn't have a confirmation. Any idea on body trim or dash/interior? I plan on making it an OD staff car, so none of this is critical and it's not going to be a show car, just a sound runner. Grateful to hear your thoughts.
Also, I haven't forgotten your armor. It's still protected. But it's been a tough couple of years and just gas to get to you to return it wasn't easy. That's changing and I can put it on my radar now.

I can't answer the question about the body dies being the same, BUT I can tell you that I painted my '41 Dodge 4 door sedan to resemble a USAAF staff car and it has been a big hit. SO MANY more people pay attention to it now and OH and AHHH over it. I get REQUESTS to have it in the parades in the area. I have much more fun with it now. I should say that I am a Veteran myself (US Army 71-74) so I almost feel at home driving this car.
