I think I mentioned this to one GP guy who had not noticed it, but has anyone else noticed this and/or duplicated it.
The spec for the brake shoe linings show the front and rears to be the same size. The part number is also the same, and it also makes no reference as to different length linings in the maintenance section of TM10-1101..

Your observation refers to the Maintenance Manual. Be aware that there are other other "mistakes" or questionable facts in this manual. IF you check the; GP Parts and Price List in the BRAKE section you will see that the front and rear shoes are obviously different in lining length AND the part numbers are different for the 2 shoes. Bottom line, the GP shoe set is just like any other brake set from that time era.
What is interesting is that you picked up on that fact. GOOD FIND>
