Identify help needed for MA carburator

Post by wo2jeeper » Mon Apr 09, 2018 7:21 am

We had this Carb from the US and bought it as a take off MA carburator. But now we cannot identify the bowl as being correct. It has 8 patent without raised 7th as seen on the 596s carburator. On the rear there is 0.611 number which I never have seen before and cannot identify. Before we change this bowl out for a 0.475 539s bowl we need to know certain if it is right to do. Hope someone can share his of her knowledge regarding this one.

On the Carter sheet you clearly see a 539s similar bowl with pointed tab.

So whatd did 75 + years do with this carb ?
