MB accoutrements

Post by OldJeepBob » Sun Apr 15, 2018 8:04 am

I am looking to finish my MB tribute to 4th ID by Veterans Day in November, and that is my focus. I can do most of what I want by then, but have a list of "it would be nice at the right price" items. So, those are, all war years:
1. Tire pump;
2. First aid kit;
3 Oiler;
4. Grease gun;
5. Pioneer axe and shovel (any date);
6. Georgia 1944 tag.

Thanks,

I have everything on your list except for a Georgia plate. But since you never finished our first deal I'm not offering them to you. Good luck.

Good luck, Bob! I wish you well in your search for these parts. You may indeed find them if some kind soul helps you out with your project, but the doo dads are fun to collect, but they have also become veeeery expensive.

To USAFpj: thanks for the encouraging (discouraging? words. think you are right on both counts!
To Robin: Sorry I may have offended your sensibilities in the past. The lawyer in me would tell you that we didn't have a deal until we had a deal; I clearly did not renege on a deal, and would not like for the Forum to think I did. I DN recall, but may have found I had bought and stored items, found them closer than 3,000 miles, decided I did not need/could not afford them right then? In any case, keep on jeeping.

I really do not want or need to get in a public urination contest with Robin, but it clear that I was looking, and there was never a deal, the jerry can holder was never off the market, and thus is not "for sale again". I am pasting the last communication we had:

"Sent: Mon Nov 27, 2017 1:39 pm
From: Robin
Recipient: OldJeepBob

Bob, I have another jerry can bracket and some top bow parts. My home computer is having problems so I can only message you from work. You can also call me at 503-585-1397 in the evenings Pacific Time as I live in Oregon. Robin".

To be clear: I was looking, we never had a deal, and the implication that I reneged on a deal is unwarranted and not true. Get over it, Robin.
