Slattie SW temp gauge?

Post by Wingnutt » Tue Mar 20, 2018 4:13 am

I have a 'Want To Know' thread going on the big trucks forum down below about a Stewart Warner temp gauge. I put it there because of the length of the flexible capillary tube (60 inches), and sure enough, someone identified it as belonging to a Diamond T or Federal wrecker. However, he also said it would be appropriate for an early MB Slattie, if it had a shorter jeep-size capillary tube. Would someone confirm that, please?

Hi;

The face, bezel and probably everything except the lenght of the tube should be identical to a VEP GPW one; not a slat which had autolite gauges.

You should have some VEP guys making offers soon; I would be interested too by the way ;)
