Correct seat filling

Could the very knowledgeable forum members tell me what would have been the correct seat filling material for my late '41Built MB, delivered 1/12/42.

I just received a set of seats cushions from Paolo at The Long Olive Drab Line in Italy. They were more expensive that the cushions made in the US but he has produced them with NOS zippers and I've very happy with them.
