Lad
Yes they are NOS original parts I purchased long time ago in USA with the original Willys part number tag.
I'm glad you got your your answer, it always a pleasure to help G503 members!
Lad it seems on the picture little bite more long tag 1/2 inch for my opinion in 9/16"/14,2mm but attention the end of the screw is round...
Take care

Re: Slat grill Top bow pivot Thumb screw
I just received some repro top bow pivot thumb screws 5/16-24 from Darcy Miller, MV Spares, Australia. These are very nice reproductions and look exactly like the originals. The thread length is 1/2-inch and approx. 9/16-inch total length including the rounded end, same as original.

Re: Slat grill Top bow pivot Thumb screw
Darcy....
Just an update here. I have seen the Ford drawing of "GPW-1151270 which is as you know from having seen the drawing, is for the Top Bow Pivot. It indicates that the thumbscrew hole is to be made 5/16". I has a notation on it that indicates this is "A-2901".
I have also seen a Ford drawing of "GPW-1153142" which is as you know from having seen the drawing, is for the small tab that is welded to one of the top bows and has the second top bow riveted to it. It has a notation on it that indicates this is "A-2900".
So, with regard to the early Top Bow Pivot, I stand by my statement that the Willys A-2901 is the same part as GPW-1151270 and it is tapped for a 5/16" hole for the Thumbscrew.
