Re: MA/MB slat grill dip stick and filler tube - NOW AVAILAB
I have finished a few filler tubes and oil gages. These are reproductions. For your convenience, I have posted a comparison, so you can make up your mind if this meets your expectations.
I have not drilled the vent hole, but it's location is marked if you choose to add it. Included is a piece of plastic to help you install the tube to prevent messing up the top rim of the filler tube with the hammer.
The tube is a snug fit to the block. The side facing the block is also marked on the tube. The oil level markings are accurate and are based on the distance between the bottom of the filler tube and the tip of the dipstick. Make sure you install the tube all the way until it rests on the ledge in the block.

Re: MA/MB slat grill dip stick and filler tube - NOW AVAILAB
Hi Toby,
first of all........congratulations for your job ! Well done. It´s a nice piece.
I have a Late Slat Grill #124991 DOD 03-04-42.
Is your dip stick model correct for my Slat ?
Between this model of dip stick and the standard type, was another type ?
I have a different one, but now I´m not sure if it´s correct for a late Slat as mine.
Thanks for your comments/advices.
Cheers

You have the correct filler Charlie. It's a rare version so look after it.Charlie S. wrote:Hi Toby,

Hi Mark,
Fyi Toby is living back home in Germany. I can message him and see if he still makes/has these, and if he is willing to ship back across the pond.
