I've actually got one of these already, it was a DX'08 pre-built example with some damage - so it was cheap - although more than the $100 price for the kit !! I like the idea of getting the kit though, as then I can finish it more to my liking.

Dragon are also going to release a SAS desert jeep. Now I really fancy getting that as my current 1:1 resto is going to one of these. I expect that this version of Dragon's jeep could be really expensive though....... :(

Have you seen the 1/6 scale GI Joe SAS desert jeep from some years ago? Not perfect, but pretty neat anyway with its twin Vickers setup, extra water cans, etc...

I couldn't find the price on dragon's website. is this a wide or limited release?

Has anyone gotten one of these?

I found the part where they said it has no engine in it.

Let us know how that goes. Is it a pretty detailed kit?

can the schwimmer be made to swim? if so I might have to get me one of those too. I had kubel but sold it to to the lack of interest in German stuff. But I have always liked the looks of the schwimmwagon

You mean as a dual land/water like the original or only for use on water? I'm not sure there would be room for both, but I don't have the kit.

I would probably have opted to try to make it front wheel drive and reserved the rear "engine" compartment for the propeller motor.

Looks like the rear wheels are always turning even in the water?

Does anyone know if the "kit" includes the engine, from what I have read it does not have it.
