While I had my hubs off, I noticed these two holes with recesses for the washers. What would be attached at this point?
In this pic, the holes are to the left. They are by the lower ball joint.
This is just a random pic from epay, not mine.

Re: What Goes Here?
Hi the threaded holes are for the steering lock travel bolts and lock nut
The bolt head should be adjusted so it hits the lower A arm on full lock just before the steering box goes to full travel.

I was looking at my rear hub, but never noticed this item before. Finially, something i didnt notice!
I just read the adjustment procedure. Between 34 and 36 degrees is where it should be set. The chalk marks on the concrete would probably cover those two degrees.

Re: What Goes Here?
The travel limiting bolts would only be on a front hub, since the rears don't steer there's no need to limit their travel. If they are there it may be that someone replaced it with an old front hub.

Re: What Goes Here?
For anyone with the bigger M83 steering box, the right and left stop adjustments are made by turning plungers on the steering box. The plunger for the left turn is on the front of the box. The plunger for the right turn is on the rear of the box.
The rear plunger can be seen between the bolts by the input shaft.
I guess this is why I have no bolts sticking out of my hubs.
