Re: M1165 Build
I have a video of the doors closing, but can't post here due to file size, I'll email it to you.

Re: M1165 Build
Tony, Thanks for the pix, video and offer. I have the military strikers but will have to shim them a bit for the rear doors. PIA but once they line up, they close really nice.
I also noticed that the lower latch interferes with the Koch seat belt retractor. Very strange. I will have to look at that more closely to see what needs to be be modified.

Got side tracked by my dad's 42 GPW. Quite a difference!

Yes.
Internal glass that slides back and forth. Allows about 6" opening! About half the weight of F5.
Ragman has a set for sale.

Re: M1165 Build
Summer time means slow hmmwv time.
As a joke, I ordered the REV horn bracket extension in December. I received it in the middle of May! Impressive lead time for a $15 part. As stated before, the ability to build these is very much hampered by lead times. I am thankful that I am done ordering parts! Many are not in the TM!
Mounted mirrors on Frag 1 doors. You need the long L bracket on the lower position passenger side and the standard L bracket on the upper position. Same with drivers side. Took a long time to figure that out. Anyway, you still can't see crap behind you.

Thanks.
Page 6 shows the reinforcement plates. I do not have dimensions handy but you should be able to scale them based upon the location. 3 per side.

Re: M1165 Build
Well its been a while since I updated the posting on this build. I have been preoccupied doing other things and slowly working on this. Since MI is crap on titles for 2 years and counting, I have not been in hurry to finish.
However, I did just get painted in CARC Green. They used 2.5 gallons on this 1165 REV. Enjoy the pictures. I will start placing items back on the truck over the next few days and post up a close to finish product.
