early dodge pictures for your enjoyment

Post by rondo » Tue May 15, 2018 7:57 am

Hope you enjoy these. The postcard is from the USARCENT Third Army archives and shows VC dodges with a caption of mechanized infantry

The other is a great picture of WC21s which are the later ones, with open bed hooks and black out lights on fenders. There are a few owners of these in Idaho but I've never seen the bows stowed this way until now.

Great pictures. Answered a few questions about a WC-22 I am working on. Do I see spare tire locks?

rondo - a few years back I matched-up that location of the WC's with a then and now picture. It was taken at the Desert Training Area near Desert Center CA. About 9 miles west of Desert Center is an exit to nowhere called Red Cloud Road. It's on the north side of the freeway looking towards the NE.
