WC52

I have a WC52 that is a European return, it has European lights bolted under the headlight guards that were added after the US was done with it, the windshield glass both have a glass company's name, veiliglas- Amsterdam in the upper corners, I have found some markings on the front bumper, in the right side is a 3 color bar flag- red on top, white in the middle and blue on the bottom- there are some other markings but I can't make them out, the frame number is 81588336. I'm wondering where to start to try and trace this back to find out some history, when I figure out how to post pictures I will put some on here, any help would be great
Thanks

wwbackhoe,

You may already know, but the three color flag you describe is the flag of the Netherlands.

Yip that's the one, I've been researching bar flags and that's the one I figured it was, I need to do some more wet sanding to see what else is under the paint layers. Would you have any other info about US vehicles the Netherlands used during or after the war
Thanks
