I just purchsed a winch for my 1941 1/2 Dodge. I believe it is the right MU winch, but PTO is on the wrong side of the drive end of the winch, it comes out the front.. The front side has a our bolt retainer around the PTO drive the back side has a four bolt cover. If I remove the cover will it expose a PTO drive?
Or does the whole assembly need to come off and get reinstalled end for end?
Who's got some diagrams?

Re: 1/2 ton winch
Warren,
I swapped ends like you said. Piece of cake!
Phil thanks for the picture!
I'm missing the front angle iron support and the two frame mounted hooks. darn, I saw those hooks at the Tower Park Meet on Thursday. Tomorrow I'll blast it, prime and paint the winch and all my grill stuff. Maybe in a couple of weeks my WC will look almost as nice as yours!!!
Thanks,
Brian - Sacramento

Re: 1/2 ton winch
Brian or Phil.
I know this post is a few years old,but in putting my MU winch together on my Command car,and was wondering if you had any pictures of the brake return spring set up,on the winch version the brake pedal doesn't have the return spring lug on the bottom of the pedal, theres a hole further up the pedal above the pivot point,i was just wondering where the other end of the spring attaches too.?
Maybe some pictures,it would be helpful.
Cheers.
Paul.
