A seller on e-Bay in the UK was selling off a Kennedy Type 2 Case, and most of the contents separately. They come from a sale at Burtonwood immediately after WW2 so I was interested as these really were USAAF tools. I don't know who bought the case ( just under $100 US equivalent ) or the nice inspection light, but I did buy a bunch of the contents, primarily to get a couple of the harder to find Plomb WF items that were included.
I have to apologise for the images, woefully over-exposed, but I can go back and reshoot anything that anyone needs a better image of. There are also some unmarked items that I could use brand suggestions for.
American Swiss File & Tool Co Double Bow Punch 3/4" 41-P-3357, RIDGID 6" coded "B4" 41-W-1660, Herbrand DOE 25, Goodell Pratt 925 mint 001" to 025" with 25 leaves, VLCHEK 3/8" and 5/16" Punches, Millers Falls 416 punch, Stanley Atha Centre punch.
Forged Select Steel set of three DBE, in clamp, 5/8" & 11/16", 1/2" & 9/16", and 3/8" and 7/16", two Crescent 940 6" with "US" marks 41-P-1714, Krauter 1631 Curved Needle Nose pliers 41-P-1675, 1681-6 straight 41-P-1810, and 1781-7 straight
Plomb, lots of it, all WF series. I bought these batches to get the WF-99 5/16" ignition wrench and WF-120 3/8" x 3/8" 12 point deep socket. More than 50% of the parts are date coded with a "C" code, and where they are duplicated the overall style and marking styles just vary a little, suggesting they came for two slightly different WF series batches.
Hinsdale 3/8" Tee, 9/32" Breaker, and 9/32" drive SM14 7/16" 12 point socket
Wright MN-15 AC 42 marked speeder, MN-60 AC 42+ marked Ratchet - unfortunately with a screw replaced, MN-11 AC 42 marked Tee, and MU-11 AC 42+ marked Universal Joint
Ordinary Duro-Chrome 3/8" drive 4412 3/8" x 3/8" 12 point and 4434 3/8" x 8" Extension
Snap-On 5/8" PPC 820A Chisel, US marked, 1/2" x 3/4" 12 point SW241 CAN B, 3/8" x 5/8" 12 point F-200 G code, 3/8" x 9/16" 12 point F-180 G code ( shiny? ), 9/32" x 7/16" 12 point M14 G code, 9/32" x 11/32" 12 point M-11 G code, 9/32" x 5/16" 12 point M-10 G code, 9/32" x 1/4" 6 point M-8 G code, 9/32" x 3/16" 6 point M-6 G code

In your first image, do the three shorty wrenches meet GMTS spec?
Nice haul!

Re: Bought a pile of stuff
I don't know Luke, want some sizes?
Forged Select Steel set of three DBE, in clamp, measured diagonally rather than square to the shank;
5/8" & 11/16" is 6" overall
1/2" & 9/16" is 5.25" overall
3/8" and 7/16" is 4.5" overall

Here are the mystery items.
Awl with detachable point, about 6". There is a fitting in the top which might be a detachable cap to store more bits inside.
Two rivet snaps, stamped 41A5749-1 and 41A5748-2
9/32" drive flex drive, only one I've ever seen, about 4" long
Since this all came from a USAAF case I have no doubt these are US manufacture, but I could do with suggestions as to who made them. The case had 9/32" drive stuff from Plomb, Hinsdale, and Snap-On. I'm reasonably sure the flex drive isn't Plomb or Snap-On - anyone know if it is Hinsdale?
I'm happy to trade on the Hinsdale, Wright, or Snap-On stuff if helpful collectors need it - you know who you are.

Re: Bought a pile of stuff
I can't really help on the flex drive as I have only seen them in the postwar British sets by King Dick or Britool.
Nice find on the tools though !

Re: Bought a pile of stuffed Awl about it ...
As I suspected, the Awl had more secrets to reveal.
The body cap is removable, and conceals a spool, which presumably would be pre-loaded with whatever twine you would need for that job.
There is a slit in the edge of the spool for the twine end, and a hole in the side of the body for the twine to spool out when being used.
There are several spare needles, but they are stored in holes drilled up into the lower part of the body, and the loose brass ferrule immediately above the nut acts as a retainer to keep them in place till they are needed.
Speedy Stitcher, Poughkeepsie, New York, apparently you can still buy an almost identical unit:

That little stitcher is neat. I have s similar one made by C.A. Myers made in USA except the spool is at bottom of of handle instead of inside. Pretty easy to use for leather/canvas repairs. Nice find
