To the others with the speedo repro problems.
You should test the speedo with a lathe or a drill and an rpm measurement gauge.
Perhaps these repo have been calibrated for the CJ2A. The CJ2a uses a gear ratio adapter.

The gear ratio are as follows:
CJ2a gear ratio 5,38
MB-GPW gear ratio 4,88

The MB GPW shaft RPM vs displayed speed should be as follows (+/-)
MB-GPW_SPEEDO_RATIOS_CALIBRATION.jpg
MB-GPW_SPEEDO_RATIOS_CALIBRATION.jpg (41.7 KiB) Viewed 265 times
In a CJ-2a the RPM vs displayed speed are as follows.
CJ2A-SPEEDO_RATIO_CALIBRATION.jpg
CJ2A-SPEEDO_RATIO_CALIBRATION.jpg (30.62 KiB) Viewed 265 times
A speedo calibrated for a CJ2a will display lower speeds in an MB/GPW.

Of course it's not your problem, but this is perhaps the error made by the manufacturer.

A speedo calibrated for the MB/GPW should display +/_ 60Mph for a shaft speed of 1000rpm.
