Caterpillar bolt part #s

Post by Thunderbird712 » Sat Apr 21, 2018 9:56 am

I can’t seem to get their website to work. Anyone have a copy of their catalog? I need a couple of part numbers for bolts if they have them.

3/8-16 x 1 5/8”

3/8-24 x 1 3/8”

7/16-20 x 1 1/8”

Thank you.

How close is the Cat 7/16"-24 NF X 2-1/8" Bolt to the original Pintle Hook Bolt?

I couldn't get their site to work either. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=293334&start=15&hilit=caterpillar
Look up the part numbers here https://www.barloworld-equipment.com/me ... ow_res.pdf and then call the parts counter guy to order them. I had them shipped because the dealer was a two hour round trip in a direction I rarely travel.

Jeff,

Thank you! One last question. Im assuming you didn’t need an account to order them?

Nope, just called the local dealer and asked for the parts counter. I asked if he would ship them to me and he did. If the dealer was closer I would assume it would be the same as walking into a car dealership parts dept.

And not all CAT bolts that match Jeep size and length have the desired higher head. Do your homework.

I walked into the local one near my house in Ottawa, Canada. Asked for a number of specific bolt sizes and matching nuts. Told to come back two days later and came in to pick up a few small old school brown paper bags stapled shut with all the ordered fasteners in them. Easy peasy....and very helpful sales staff.

Is everybody happy with the CATERPILLAR Pintle Hook Bolts? Are they what was expected?
