Re: Lubricant cans
This is great thanks for sharing. There seems to have been many questions about this topic and little actual examples.
This now shows us exactly what was printed on the containers and now the shipping crates.
Olivier you're the man!

Re: Lubricant cans
These are awesome Robin. Can I ask what the last three line of the square container read?
I would really love to find either one of them for myself! They'd be perfect in the bustle basket of our G503 or G529 (if I can ever find time to restore it)

Re: Lubricant cans
I guess sometimes it helps to stay away for a bit....with these pictures I'm sure I can drum up a can clean up and paint to use. Thanks to all!

Hello,
Do you know the meaning of the letters "STC" on the tin made by Rheem in 1943?
Thank you
Best regards from Paris

Re: Lubricant cans
I was told long ago that STC meant Single Trip Container but I have no proof of it really meaning that.

Re: Lubricant cans
Single Trip Container
The specifications were regulated by the ICC(Interstate Commerce Commission) when shipped via Common Carriers (such as commercial railroads, ships, airplanes, and motor trucks).
The following images are scans from a BOYCO catalog circa 1932.
