Rubber wwii handset CB-1 info please

Post by 105533 » Wed May 02, 2018 4:51 pm

AN EE-8 field phone I bought from sportsman guide came with a CB-1 rubber handset. The transmitter is dated 8/43 and there is no date on the receiver. I have no idea where or when it was used. Any ideas?

In WWII the USMC had a field telephone in a wood case,I don't remember the designation, but had no top cover and they used these handsets on some of them.
