I know little about WW-2 radio's, can any one tell me what kind of radio ant, and mount would be mounted on a flight line AAF jeep to comm. with the aircraft.
Like a jeep from one of the operation's SQ. of the 8th AAF in England during WW-2 that would transport the crew's too and from their B-17's etc.
A pic. sure would help. and where I might locate one, Thank's for any info.

They were likely using BC-348 radios.
You can find here an amazing jeep mod to flying control jeep.
The guy has even made a fake BC-348 radio to mount in his jeep.

Not sure that a Flying Control Jeep could also be used to transport the crew to his aircraft.
