real Army issued toothbrushes are pretty rare. I own the last one I saw for sale....and you'd probably cringe. Ravenna Armory sells one. It gets the point across but if you know what an original looks like, you can tell it's a repro, which is good, frankly...

A sparce EM's footlocker isn't too bad to complete ---there are items out there.
Remember there were issued items and then there were PX and other private purchased items.
I chose to go for a Quartermaster Officer's well stocked footlocker in an overseas location.
As you know, officers had plenty of manpower to move their creature comforts from billet to billet.

(left side top shelf - close up)
(right side top shelf - close up)
(bottom section with rolled clothing & other items)
Good luck - make a wish list and start hunting - flea markets, antique malls, eBay and even yard sales for original items plus the reproduction vendors should yield you an nice display.

WOW!!!
Very nice set up. Looking to set one up as a EM. Were PX or Red Cross items allowed in an inspection? I can see this will be a lot of fun looking
for the things to put one together.
Thank you

Everything was not issues. So things like your shave soap and tooth paste would have probably been PX. Red Cross stuff I’d say was allowed as well. Unless you are talking about basic training, then inspections are probably a little more lax anyway.
