Right on Mike!

Here's a video of the wife firing my M2. Don't mind the MG 42s in the background

I wish I had that much time on my hands Luis! Here we're prohibited from having that much fun. I tried though and paid a price! Enjoy!

Nice work Luis! :)
This weekend I made some progress with my replica.
I decided to make a barrel, but the problem was that the longest drill-bit i had access to was only 360mm.
Because of that i made the barrels i two parts that threads together, it can also be a good thing when transporting the gun.
Sorry for the bad picture quality, but the only camera i had with me was my cellphone camera.

First out is drilling holes in all parts.

Then some turning.

And some milling.

Larda,

That is Outstanding work! Great idea with the barrel in two pieces. 8)

Due to unfortunate circumstance hard copies of my drawings are no longer available. There are many other sources available. Keep up the great work on those replica builds. 8)

Joined just to say thank you TopKick for the drawings you posted, going to start making my copy some time this month, not quite sure how I'll do the barrel yet (Pretty hard to get hold of a demilled one here in NZ) but I'm sure I'll come up with something :D

So made a start today, made myself a template for the side plates and put on the steel plate to make sure it fits, I have two of these plates (from scrap at work) so as you can see that should just take care of my side plates :D
Will weld up the holes that are in the wrong places once I've cut both plates out.

So got a little further today, I''ve decided since its very difficult to get any real M2HB parts or mounts here that I won't stress about getting the width millimeter perfect and just use materials that i have to make a "10ft" version ie from 10ft away it'll look pretty good

So made a...... I guess you'd call it a trunnion block out of some 50mm SHS and welded it in between the plates. I've placed it 3mm down from the top edge of the feed tray so that i can form the feed tray area from 3mm steel and get the right shape happening.
