This reproduction has aluminum elements, with the same dimensions as a real.

As much effort as we put in to making a replica we could probably have used the same energy making the right amount of money to buy a real one! But that wasn't the focus, we wanted to make a model that the experts can't discern from a real one, unless they try to cock it and find the moving parts are frozen. I guess we could be called artists in a way. We don't paint with oil and canvas, but works of art we do turn out sometimes! The pictures and ideas posted here please the eyes of like minded builders and give them ideas to build with. The real thing isn't good enough, we have to make it with our own hands.
