Hi Marty, Dave here. I purchased the Octagonal Socket for the Command Car I sold to Steve. It is 2 5/8" and I am pretty certain that I got it from John at Midwest Military. I remember having trouble finding it when I was in So. California. How are You and Steve by the way? Did you go to the Rally in Acton? Tell Steve I said Hi and give Him my best, I can't find His contact info. Thanks.

Dave, Steve has the Dodge 8 point socket but his Ben Hur trailer has six point hub caps! I was able to get them loose with the 11" wrench out of the jeep tool kit.

Thanks Marty, that link to info IS quite exciting news. It reads for K63 trailer which had the 15 KW Willys Jeeps engine powered generator. The K 63A has the P.E. 197 in it.

Kirk, I forgot to comment on the excellent pics. and link for the Ben Hur hub caps. Great find. I wonder if the "K" series trailers were the only ones to receive that special cap? I read in the Tank O Grad Chevy book that the Chevy K-51 Radio Panel truck didn't have a spare tire carrier but the K-52 Trailer with P.E. 95 in it had a carrier for a spare which was meant to be used in case of a flat on EITHER truck or trailer.

My Trailer is a K-52 and has hex shape caps. I removed the PE-95 and sold the Spare Tire bracket 30 years ago. There are K-52 Trailer photos showing Hex Shape Hub Caps in one of the Emile Becker Books.
Many of the early K-52's had Nash Kelvinator tags.
