Help ID Tail light and bracket

Post by signsup » Wed May 23, 2018 11:48 am

This showed up in a box of jeep parts and even I know it is not for a jeep. Don't know if it's 12v or 24v, but looks large truck to me n and probably Vietnam era or later. But it is the bracket that has my interest. Appears factory, not cut off from something else and has a edge/lep to it around the sides. But no holes for attaching it to something, so I can't figure out it's purpose.

I have no use for it and want to pass it on, but don't even know where to start offering it.

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance, I'll hang up and listen...

Iit's 24Volt M-Series, early style 1950 thru late 60's and later on some armor. I do not recognize the bracket. but it is the Service Tail Light used on M-37, M-38, 2-1/2 Ton, 5 Ton, and the various trailers. What brand is on the Door? AutoLite and Guide are what M-38/M-38A1 restorers prefer.
