Dan- try this:

I use an Autolite IAD 4201-1 in my 1946 Dodge 230 flathead, installed into my WC52.

I've read on the M37 forum that in order to change to a civilian distributor you also have to change the oil pump.

Kelly is correct, the M-37 and all G-741 24 Volt trucks have an Oil Pump with off set slot. There are some who drive a Civilian or WWII Distributor with a hammer and block of wood but it is hell on the shaft as it bends it and it will wear out the bearing. Install a Civilian Oil Pump and you can then install a WWII or Civilian Distributor..
