I failed to mention the charged cell phone and phone number for Hagerty's towing service. Cell coverage is still relatively spotty in some places around here and I like to be more self reliant when possible. Duct tape, hub socket, bailing wire, and electrical wire will be added. Few of the contents are correct military so if the Jeep police are around, I think the box lid will remain closed.
Jon, I thought about stenciling something as you had mentioned but considered it would attract unwanted attention to undesirables such as jihadists or anarchists not to mention cause concern for law enforcement. Unfortunately we live in crazy times, in fact this one dude thought I was part of the Cuban Army coming to take over the USA.
Took the truck on an approximately 50 mile trip yesterday, she seems to be operating well. The voltage regulator cutout switch still opens/closes causing the ammeter needle to dance when at idle, but the generator works as it should when driving at speed. After the trip, the battery voltage was 6.4 volts stopped, and 7.2 volts when running ~30 MPH. Double clutching is becoming more second nature...upshifts are easy now with just occasional problems with down shifts when climbing steep terrain.
Hope you all had some time to play around with something OD green.
