Nah...the same storm that always prevents Joel from accessing a million manuals, a million NOS parts and the Mil. vehicles with 350,000 miles on them kept me from being able to check my trailer....but now that the snow has melted here and the snowjob back East has ....it has melted?
Oh yeah, this is the one in Dell's pic and what I found on my G529...

I was talking of the abbreviations NC and NF that can or cannot be read in different manuals.
Not that important,after all, and no reasonable person is surprised for possible errors in a manual.
Who cares if allen set screws where available during the war: also cross recess head screws were available during the war,and used for instance on Dodges, but are not correct on jeeps.
There is only one kind of set screw listed on WWII 1/4 ton trailer manuals and that is what should be used if 100% correct is the goal.Period.

I'm waiting to catch up with a mate who has an oxy to do the bend . Next week I'll see if i can find a screw , if not I'll put a 1/4 bolt in my lathe and machine the end and slot it . Thanks for the help on this one everyone . Dale
