Anyone offering mule restoration?

Post by westmfg » Sun Apr 16, 2017 6:50 am

It's time for me to face facts.

I've had multiple mules for close to 10 years now that my Dad and I planned on restoring.
Not trying to get show condition, just use them around the farm and play with his grandkids.
Well, it's been about 8 years and Dad is gone, the kids are almost grown, and I still have no time to complete them.
I have to give up and look for other ways to get them running on the hills again.
I hate to give up and sell everything off, they are way to cool to just give up but work and life will never slow down.

Does anyone offer "restoration services" like a garage mechanic?

I have:
One - 2 cyl mule that is basically piles of parts. (it started out complete but I took it apart)
One - 4cyl that runs but burns oil and the transmission is stuck in gear
and a metric butt load of parts in order to restore them.

We do have one mule that runs and they enjoyed it a lot over the years but I spend all of my "mule" time keeping that one running and never get to the other ones.

The closer to Cincinnati, the better but I am open to just about any distance.
Thanks!

Contact me I can help. I am in Toccoa, Georgia 30577 about 5-6 hours away from Cincinnati. I built rail yard vehicles for the Chessie System used in their Cincinnati Classification Yard.

E-Mail works best for me but I do check the G503 PMs often.
Mules are my passion
