Factory class Jeep

Post by Joe Gopan » Tue May 22, 2018 6:37 pm

Wondering if all Jeeps entered as "factory" at the annual MVPA Convention could pass a test run similar to the acceptance test done after they came off the Willys/Ford production line?

Instead of wondering, why dont you use your 70+ years of jeep experience to judge them at the conventions and run them through a Willys/Ford approved test run.

Joel, I can assure you they all can! BTW, there is no longer a “Factory” category....rather, there are the Restored and Motor Pool Ready classes. Vehicles are judged against a standard...not each other.

Will you ever bring your MB to a Convention and submitted for judging in the near future? Perhaps when the Convention is held in your part of the country (PA) next year?

Wouldn't that be great. I have learned over the past years to not point out minor details that get by the Judges in the factory or restored class It does not take but a minute or two to discover a brain teaser that is easily researched in the SNL or TM.

Joel, then I strongly encourage you to lend the MVPA your expertise and volunteer to be a vehicle judge at this year’s Convention! You haven’t attended a Convention for a while so its a good excuse to get out and enjoy a show! Hope to see you in Louisville!

I have also discovered that those who are mistaken will put up the largest argument only to discover that there is a knack to interpreting parts manuals.
