Turn lights rear

Post by Ingo » Wed May 02, 2018 2:27 am

Hi, mostly here in Europe, we try to put orange bulbs in the rear BO lights to have a rear turn lights. More or less effective, more or less nice. Any nice solution besides that possible? LED is for me not an option.
Would love to see your ideas and turn lights
Cheers

Mine are just small lamps mounted outboard of the bumperettes, on the frame. I'll snap pictures for you if you wish.

Here is how I did it on my GPW and WC 52. On the WC I used LED's design for mopeds, so they are very small and hardly noticeable when not flashing. And on the jeep I used regular bulb indicators, the smallest I could find. I mounted them on the licenses plate holder so did not need to drill any extra holes for the indicator in the body or frame. The licenses plate holders are mounted in already exiting holes.

You can see the turn signal to the left of the bumperette.
