prices on sale items

Post by Ernie Baals » Tue Mar 27, 2018 7:55 am

Hi
I just feel like venting a bit
AS per Ron's rules, all items listed for sale in any of the forums have to have a price
Why on earth wound anybody put an add up without a price!!!
Just a pet peeve of mine.
Personally, I will not buy from any person or dealer that does not list their prices for all to see
Thanks for the rant

Would be nice if people didn't remove the prices when the item is sold too

I fully agree, Ernie! I felt that it is the moderator's judgment to say what is/is not appropriate, so I didn't say anything when that Slat Speedo was for sale.
However, it does not matter whether you knew what your item was worth, or that you apologize and have nothing but great intentions. Follow the rules, and list a price...

Amen to keeping the FOR SALE forum just that...and not an auction, Ernie!

It is as simple as just ASKING what something is worth on the General Discussions forum FIRST. Personally i have no idea what a Willys WC intake manifold is worth but if I had one I could easily ask on that forum and after getting a general price range (posting pics of course!) I could post a for sale thread and state a price for the item.

No posting a price can be seen either as just ignorance (understandable if the poster then just asks for a price range) or if we suspect this is an engineered auction as happens for some of the more rare items on the gee.
