1941 Anti Aircraft Searchlight

Post by blue-max-triplane » Sat Sep 15, 2012 7:38 pm

So, as I understand, most of the WWII Searchlights were a two trailer unit, but this one is pretty specifically built- by the factory- as a single unit.
Do any of you here recognize this one at all? I am going to attach it to the International Harvester M3H4 1 1/2 Crash Truck that I am restoring.

It has what looks to be a Hercules 6 cyl flathead.
The lights on the rear area of the frame are military, and the mountings look proper. Nothing about the construction says "Bubba" , so I am gathering that this is an original configuration.

yould have to check the frame real close for splice, or look for where axils could have been ground off.

I was trolling on-line for some specific TM's.. the 1941 searchlight stood out, and I remembered seeing this thread..
you're probably all over the TM info, but just in case.... ;)
