On Front shocks...

Post by Homer » Sat Jun 21, 2003 12:47 pm

Is it common for the top of the front shocks to pierce through the metal "fenders" into the engine compartment.

VERY good question. I noticed on my 151 it has done the same thing. If I had to guess it was due to overloading or serious su=tump jumping. The A-2 no havvie deese holes.
All is well in Kuwait and I will look you up when I get back to the world.

front shocks and holes in fenders

Post by MUTT_KAHUNA ED » Sun Jun 22, 2003 10:17 pm

One of my A2's has the pierced inner fender..if shocks get too worn or military fun jumpin can lead to these holes..a friend in the National Guard claimed to have jumped a Humvee dozens of times til they finally broke an A arm..our tax dollars at work....

Shock

ET,
This is the Dade City Homer, apparently there is another Homer lurking around since I haven't gotten to the shock problem. Borrowed the doc's steering wheel puller, had the wheel off in 3 minutes after trying for a year. I owe you a 30 cal box. Missing a bunch of rain while you're not here. Good for the well.
St Joe Homer.

Yea I have heard about all the rain and I am sure that there are a few new resedents with cypress trees in their front yards complaining.
Thanks for the ammo box as I have been told that I now own a 1919 .30BMG that will be mounted in the M-38 if I can ever get home to finish it.
Glad to hear Georges puller worked. You know what they say about the right tool for the job!

Regards
Emmett
