Old iron still on active duty
I thought it would be kind of cool to start a thread on old vehicles still on active duty. I have noticed this old F-150 for a while on NAS Jax and thought how many other older vehicles are still doing the job.

Re: Old iron still on active duty
Hello,
Nice thread idea !!!!
Keep your eyes open up there .... I remember reading an article in the newspaper here, many moons ago, about one of the bases up in Jax.
that had a Bantam still in use that they used to haul things between warehouses on the base.
It may have been a large parts depot with/and or a DRMO facility. I think it was a USN facility.
Don't even know how many are left there, as so many were wiped out in the 90's and since by budget cuts, down sizing etc.
If I can ever find the article I will send you the info.
People would be surprised what is still hiding out there
Best Regards,
Ray
