Amazing poster from Ford in 1943. New models !

Post by YLG80 » Wed Feb 28, 2018 11:11 pm

I cannot resist to upload that funny poster published by Ford in 1943.
That poster "Ford announces NEW MODELS for 1943" was found in the TheHenryFord.org collection.

At the time, the US industry was producing mainly for the war effort and Ford was, of course, no exception.
This is a humorous advertisement reminding the public of the quality of Ford products even if they were not intended for them.
The Jeep model
Built for climbing mountains, traveling game trails or cross-country going, this mule-footed army reconnaissance car goes a long way on short rations-stands up in service and keeps repair needs down.
Finished in one-tone olive-drab

Well said !

A very intelligent way to retaim the public's attention until the end of the war.

If you want to print the poster and display it on the wall in your garage, in front of your GPW ... or Sherman M4A3  , download the file from here and print it in large size:

This is great! I'm definitely going to print and hang in the garage behind my 43' GPW. Thanks for pulling this! I've been on thehenryford.org site, but hadn't stumbled upon this.
