genset wanted

Hello all. Anyone have a genset with a good running ww2 jeep engine for sale?

We have a 1942 Hobart gas generator (Willy's Jeep engine runs good, but does not generate)

Not sure but I think Hobart used a Continental engine in their gensets in WW2. Make sure u get a engine out of a PE 95 genset or the Navy equivalent PU58 I believe. You want casting number 638632 (WW2) or 641087 (which is a post war block). If you find a GPW Ford block in a genset the cast number is GPW 6015 I think. Best wishes; Leo
