1952 m38A1 tail lights

Hi I am new to the scene having just purchased a 1952 m38a1 my question is regarding the tail lights as mine are missing They seem to be recessed in a fixed tail gate however the ones in a catalog I have show a tail light with 5 or 6 screws holding a lens cover. I also have 12 volt sys. Any help is appreciated!

M38A1 tail lights are recessed in rear fenders - the M38A1 has no tailgate. Lenses are held onto the taillight bodies by 6 small screws - if corroded, those screws can be difficult to remove intact. If you need parts, operations and repair manuals, plus lots of technical photos, they are a free download over at www.willysmjeeps.com in the "Downloads" section. It's always a good idea to have all the manuals at your disposal.

You can put 12v light bulbs in the light assemblies.
