Regarding the white camouflage noted on some of the vehicles:
From the official wartime history of the 695th Armored Field Artillery in WWII:
Stegen, Luxembourg 26 Dec 1944
"We also painted everything white at Stegen, jeeps, trucks, tracks, and M-7's, but for some strange reason covered these white vehicles parked in fields of snow-with green camouflage nets."
