Post by EME-LT » Sun May 06, 2018 8:48 pm

I’m looking for help as to the requirement of needing one to what value is the resistor?

I’m installing a Petronics 24 volt electronic ignition into a stock distributor.

I spoke with Petronix, as I am installing the 24v version of electronic point replacement.

They require 4-5 volts to the sensor/pick-up.

assuming (and you should check) that the NOS 24 coil has 3 ohm internal resistance; A 3 ohm ballast resistor is required....

24/6 equals 4 volts........
